Roofing the dock

MORSKA Stocznia Remontowa S.A. employs roofing of the hulls of vessels staying in the docks both during rainy days and high humidity, making the maintenance and painting works possible.

Roofing is about connecting side walls of the dock with the sides of the vessel staying in the dock by means of a specialist roof structure. After putting the structure together canvas covers are hauled up, which altogether makes up a roof enabling works on ship’s sides to be carried out, irrespective of the weather. Bow and stern are at the same time protected by canvas covers arranged on the dock scaffoldings.
