Quality control

Morska Stocznia Remontowa S.A. is provided with all tools for correct diagnostics and high quality assurance with respect to work (to be) done in all trades. One of its valuable assets is its qualified staff and personnel, who hold all necessary certificates and credentials. "MORSKA" also possesses necessary equipment that permits it to carry out precision measurements of and tests on the actual performance of all work as offered.

Quality Control Department:

Carries out visual inspections of welding work employing certified personnel (TÜV 2nd level to the EN 473);
Performs all-inclusive measurements of spatial and flat structures applying some modern measuring equipment (a tachymeter, a level, a laser distance meter, a laser spirit level, a digital protractor, and the like);
Fully supervises processes connected with surface preparation and applying paint coats (full range of measurements including: climatic conditions, coatings thickness, salinity, surface preparation),
Conducts measurements of angle and length in the range from 0mm to 800mm with an accuracy of 0.01mm;
Accepts work in the scope of repairs of ER equipment and deck equipment (acceptances in the course of such repairs; the performance of sea trials);

Laboratories
NDT Lab performs:

Tests of mechanical properties of materials:- Bending, stretching, toughness, hardness tests by Rockwell’s, Vickers’, Brinnell’s methods;
NDT of materials by:- US method; magnetic powder method and penetrant testing by certified personnel (TÜV 2nd level to the EN 473);
Assessment of X-ray graphs by certified personnel (TÜV 2nd level to the EN 473);
Measurements of hull shell plating by the US method.

Within the scope of the examinations and tests conducted by MSR S.A. it holds the relevant approvals of such Classification Societies as: PRS, DNV, LR, GL, BV.

Laboratory for the Hygiene at Work and Environmental Protection carries out:

Measurements of dust content, illumination and noise;
Measurements of harmful factors at workstations;
Examination of oil products;
Physical and chemical analyses.
